The Systemic Philanthropy Club

For wealth holders who want to deepen their systems thinking and reflect on the paradigms shaping how capital is deployed.

What we do

The Systemic Philanthropy Club is a dedicated circle for wealth holders who want to explore philanthropy not as charity, but as a powerful lever for systemic transformation.

Many of today’s philanthropic efforts address urgent symptoms, yet the deeper structures that produce those challenges often remain unchanged. This club invites a small group of committed families and individuals to step back and ask a more fundamental question: how can philanthropy contribute to lasting shifts in the systems shaping our societies?

Together, participants explore how philanthropic capital can support long-term change, strengthening democratic resilience, nurturing new societal narratives, and enabling the actors who work at the deeper levels of transformation.

Two founding families will join this first cohort, launched in close partnership with our Explorers. The intention is to create an intimate and thoughtful space where participants can learn together, exchange perspectives and gradually shape a more systemic approach to giving.

What we explore:

  • How systemic philanthropy differs from traditional grantmaking
  • Interventions at leverage points rather than short‑term fixes
  • Democratic resilience and civic renewal
  • Narrative and social regeneration
  • Paradigm shifts in wealthholdership, enough and stewardship

Throughout the year, participants explore these themes together through dialogue, shared inquiry and conversations with pioneering practitioners working at the forefront of systemic change.

Over time, the club becomes more than a learning space. It becomes a place where wealth holders begin to rethink the role of philanthropy itself: not only as a response to problems, but as a form of stewardship capable of supporting deeper societal renewal.

The invitation is to move beyond traditional giving, and to explore what philanthropy can become when it is guided by systemic awareness and a long-term commitment to the future.

How it works

  • Participants: ± 10
  • Membership fee: €10,000
  • Minimum systemic allocation in Year 1: €100,000. (everybody choses themselves which projects they want to support)
