Norrsken Regeneration Seed Fund

The Norrsken Regeneration Fund is an early-stage venture capital fund domiciled in the Netherlands with a target size of €25 million. It aims to invest in 48 European regenerative ventures with check sizes ranging from €250k to €400k. The fund’s core thesis addresses the misalignment of economic systems with life-sustaining principles, seeking to fund ventures that actively heal and improve ecological, social, and economic foundations. It leverages the Norrsken Foundation ecosystem for deal flow and credibility while navigating the tension between deep regenerative philosophy and traditional VC structures.

Systemic Lenses (Impact Approach)

Ecological The fund invests to “restore and regenerate living systems,” viewing capital as a nutrient that supports vitality rather than just extraction.

Economic It seeks to “redesign capital flows as regenerative inputs,” addressing the fundamental misalignment between current economic systems and life-sustaining principles.

Social The strategy involves engaging “relational networks within communities” to build resilience and aiming for distributed agency to prevent the rigidity of concentrated control.

Narrative / Belief The fund explicitly invests in “new narratives reflecting our embeddedness in life” to shift mental models away from linear growth and reductionism toward complexity and interconnection.
